About us

People have asked why we opened a disc golf store. It is a long story but let’s shorten it up a lot,

We have a passion for helping people and felt we were lacking that in the jobs we had, prior to Nutrishop.  With the store, we have been able to reach more people than we ever could have imagined, and we’ve been able to provide a service not found anywhere else.

As for disc golf, we stumbled upon it around August of 2010.  Always looking for new activities that we can do outside with our kids, disc golf fit us perfectly; fun, inexpensive and everyone can play. We have played it as a hobby ever since.  We have introduced the sport to anyone who was willing to give it a try.  Our portable basket has made it’s rounds to many friends and family events.

We wanted to combine our passion for nutrition with our love for disc golf.  We saw a need in the area for a store to help people learn about the great sport of disc golf, to help the experienced players by supporting and suppling all players and local events. Our main mission is to help even more people improve their health and their game, as well as give back to the sport as much as it’s given to us.

RECOMMEND LAND FOR A DISC GOLF COURSE

If you know of a fantastic property that may be interested in having Fly By Disc Golf set up a disc golf course for a weekend, please let us know!

Want to get a disc golf course set up in your area? Help us out! An ideal property would have expansive and rich land with varied terrain; from open fields to tight wooded trails. We are looking for anything that would make for an interesting and fun disc golf course. We can also assist in course design and layout for any property owners looking to keep the course permanently after we spend the weekend there.

There aren’t any specific guidelines for required land so if you know of anything that seems like it possibly fits, just let us know and we will take care of the rest. Some small plots of land could work out very well if the layout is conducive to a great course. Likewise, some huge 800+ acre plots might not work at all due to access, land owner wishes, layout, etc. There is no steadfast rule about what works and what doesn’t. Just let us know what you find and let’s try to get a disc golf course set up!
