Fly By Disc Golf: Winnekenni Castle Instruction

Fly By Disc Golf: Winnekenni Castle Instruction

July 21-22, 2018

Fly By Disc Golf is very excited to be hosting our fourth new player instructional day at Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill, MA. The intention of these events is to provide a place for new players to get introduced to the sport in a very low pressure fun scenario. We don't focus so much on the technical and advanced aspects of the sport like the 2 meter rule, hyzer vs. anhyzer, or how to drive a disc 500ft. We cover the basics, like how to have a good time playing! This event is family friendly and suitable for all ages. This is a great way to get outdoors for a couple hours with your partner and/or kids and have some fun together! The course will consist of four disc golf holes and hands on play.

The event is FREE

Walters Disc Golf Emporium
This instructional course is geared towards the very new or never played before player. We start the day with an introduction to the sport, where to find courses, and general info that is important to know. We then spend some time learning the basics of throwing a disc, perfecting our close distance throws, and getting our putting form down pat. After that, there is no better way to learn than to just go out and do it, so that is what we do! We will head onto the course and play a few holes, all the while working on getting those throws more and more accurate. You should leave the event feeling confident enough to go play any course in the area on your own. Pre-Registration is not required, just show up and play!

Topics Covered:

  • Disc Golf Etiquette
  • Disc Golf Rules
  • How To Play
  • Disc Types
  • How To Throw
