June 4th, 2017Fly By Disc Golf is very excited to be hosting our third new player instructional day at Salmon Falls Disc Golf course in Rochester, NH. This event follows on the heels of our Amesbury Pines and Bellamy Park events. The intention of these events is to provide a place for new players to get introduced to the sport in a very low pressure fun scenario. We don't focus so much on the technical and advanced aspects of the sport like the 2 meter rule, hyzer vs. anhyzer, or how to drive a disc 500ft. We cover the basics, like how to have a good time playing! This event is family friendly and suitable for all ages. This is a great way to get outdoors for a couple hours with your partner and/or kids and have some fun together! All players will take home their very own disc thanks to our partners at Walters Disc Golf Emporium!
This two and a half hour instructional course is geared towards the very new or never played before player. This event is limited at 16 spots total and we expect it to sell out quickly. We start the day with an introduction to the sport, where to find courses, and general info that is important to know. We then spend some time learning the basics of throwing a disc, perfecting our close distance throws, and getting our putting form down pat. After that, there is no better way to learn than to just go out and do it, so that is what we do! We will head onto the course and play a 9 hole game, all the while working on getting those throws more and more accurate. You should leave the event feeling confident enough to go play any course in the area on your own. Pre-registrations only for this event. There will be no spots available for purchase on site.
